Don't let yourself be robbed!!
“14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then
will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
.. ..
Man’s disbelief has allowed Satan to rob the blessings away that God so desires to
give. I quote II Chronicles 7:14, for it is one that is used to cut off
faithful believers from God’s promises; not the verse but the unbelief of
amateur theologians who can not see beyond their petty self absorption to
understand scripture from God’s viewpoint. ....
These theologians argue that this promise was spoken to Solomon (1004 B.C.) and is
taken out of context if applied today. So following their train of thought and
set way of applying scripture we will look at John 3:3.
“3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to thee, If any man is not begotten from above, he
cannot see the kingdom of God”
Using their contextual approach with John 3:3, as used with II Chronicles 7:14, Jesus
says the words, ‘him’ and ‘thee’ to Nicodemus thus making it a personal statement.
So if following the same pattern only Nicodemus or people of the first century could
apply this statement and thus only the first century people could be born again.
Sounds ludicrous to me using this scriptural form of validating the context of what
was expressed in the verse itself. Some points are for a specific time and
place. I agree with this within reason. God’s promises are not held to a
specific time or place for He is the one who validates the promise since He is
the fulfiller of the promises. If mankind obeys God’s commands and
requirements, the promise will apply.
Don’t let yourself be robbed.
