What captivates your heart, your mind?
What is truth? How do you know?
What guides your path in life?
What do you base your dissections on?
"I’ve been told “A good Christian does not need to do devotions”
Does a good parent need to spend time with their kids?
Do good friends need to spend time together?
John 21:24-25 tells us.
…. We know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.
The world could not even hold all that should be written of Jesus.
But Ephesians 2 indicates that in the ages to come, we will at last be able to explore more fully His grace and mercy.
John tells us in Revelation that there are four creatures in heaven who praise the Lord ceaselessly, perpetually eternally. This goes on day and night because they're continually seeing different facets, different sides, different aspects of the Person of Jesus (4:8).
And the same thing is going to happen eternally with you. Jesus will so captivate your heart and expand your mind that as you explore and experience the exceeding riches of His grace and goodness, you will praise Him throughout eternity.
But why wait until heaven? Learn more of Jesus this morning; walk with Him today; worship Him this evening - and you'll add your own pages to the volumes yet to be written about Him.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By living it according to thy word. Ps 119:9
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Ps 119:105
If we don’t read God’s word, how do we know what He said?
If we don’t spend time with Him in prayer & worship/singing, how do we know Him?
If God it the all-Consuming, all-Powerful, all-Knowing, loving, and infinite creator, sustainer, and Redeemer of this universe, then nothing else we can do matters quite as much as getting to know Him – and to know Him well!
